The Beginning

It all started when a couple decides to pray in its particularity, in a journey he made ​​to the Bahamas. In his corner something happens to him, he sees giant waves invading the continents and the waves turned into young people who are spread throughout the world to proclaim the good news of Christ. Next year, in 1960, the young man named Loren Cunningham decides to start a missionary organization known as Youth With A Mission (YWAM), and is now one of the largest mission agencies in the world, empowering, training and sending young people to express God's love .

YWAM now has more than 20,000 full-time missionaries, dispensing thousands of graduates in the DTS (Discipleship Training School), now working in over 170 countries worldwide. Loren Cunningham and his wife Darlene, still in international missions conducting trainings and influencing the formation of leaders in YWAM, committing 30 to 40 countries per year.

YWAM has gone to nations throughout the world bringing salvation, healing, restoration, rescue and many other aid to people who do not know Christ or live in a situation lagged because of sin. YWAM is committed to the peoples of the earth and above it is committed to the Father, the Father of all human life.
